HOW TO MEMORIZE WORDS IN LANGUAGES FASTER AND EASILY

One of the important things to learning how to speak a certain language is to learn words and vocabulary. The more vocabulary you memorize the faster you speak a language.
No matter what level you are at right now set a daily time to memorize words and vocabulary along with learning the other things in the language.
And what I really recommend is to study from 10 to 50 words a day. Depending on how much time and responsibilities you have and how fast you want to learn a language.
Although for me I think focusing on 10 words a day and memorizing them well is better than studying 50 words a day because you’re more likely to forget part of them. Because it’s a lot to focus on. And you can see a picture of 10 words in your head when trying to remember them but it’s hard to see 50 words in your head in one picture at the same time.

1- WRITE AND REPEAT:

Write the words you want to memorize on a paper and repeat writing every word at least 10 times, then leave them set in your mind for a few hours and then come back to them and write them again the same way you did before. Only with repetition, the brain will understand that it’s necessary information and so it’ll save it. Then, come back to them the next day when you actually can make sure that they’re saved in your mind.
Writing helps a lot with memorizing words because you see the word written on the paper. So, your mind creates an image of it, then it will be saved in your mind which will help you recall it when you need it. Whenever you try to remember the word you see the image in your mind which makes you memorize it faster. The more senses you use the better.
Another thing to consider when writing. When you write the words write the translation of it too, and repeat writing both the word and its translation, then the next time, write the word and repeat writing it without the translation. It’s important to memorize the word and memorize what it means in your original language.

2- LISTEN TO THE WORDS YOU’RE LEARNING:

Listen to audiobooks, videos on Youtube, or movies on the topic that potentially has the words you’re memorizing and listen to them repeatedly. Because listening to words and vocabulary in real conversations will make you memorize them faster.

3- USE STICKY NOTES:

Write the vocabularies you’re trying to memorize on sticky notes and hang them where you spend most of your time to be able to look at them constantly. and look at them every now and then. Now, I don’t recommend more than 5 words. and the reason why is that when there are a lot of words you won’t be able to focus on all of them by just looking. And as we mentioned before you’ll be more likely to remember the words when you see an image of them in your mind.
Another way to use sticky notes is to hang sticky notes on the things in your house or your workplace, the places you exist in, and write the names of those things on the sticky notes. So, every time you use the stuff around you, you see their names in the language you’re learning written on the sticky notes which will help you memorize them. It’s a fun way to memorize words.

4- USE THE WORDS IN CONVERSATIONS:

A good way to memorize a word is by using it. We hear so many times that some people say “I understand the language but I can’t speak it”. Why? because they don’t use it. So, use a word in a conversation or form a sentence using the word you’re memorizing. Because it makes more sense when it’s used in a sentence so you’ll be able to memorize it faster.

5- WRITE YOUR SHOPPING LIST IN THE LANGUAGE YOU’RE LEARNING:

Write a list of your groceries or shopping items in the language you are learning, this way you’ll memorize those words. And because shopping is a repeated process you’ll keep using and seeing the words of the things you’re constantly buying, so you’ll never forget them.
