HOW TO WRITE A BLOG POST OR A YOUTUBE SCRIPT FOR BEGINNERS

 

I write blog posts for my website and I use them as scripts for my youtube channel. If you only have a Youtube channel and prefer to follow a script when filming your videos, you can spend a little bit more time writing a professional blog post and creating your own website to publish them there and earn extra money from writing online besides your Youtube channel. In this article, I am going to share my experience with you, and give you some tips to help you write a blog post or a script for your Youtube videos.

– P.S. If you want to write a blog post you need to explain every idea you want to write about. But if you only want to write a script for youtube videos, you still want to follow the tips in this article, except for one thing, you don’t need to explain the thoughts or ideas you want to talk about because you can do that when you film. Because no one is going to see your script anyway unless you publish it on a website.

– I will divide this article into two sections. In the first section, I will be talking about very important points you need to know when writing your blog post. In the second section, I will be talking about the structure of the blog post you need to follow to organize the ideas in a way that makes it easy for readers to read.

 

– SECTION 1: THE IMPORTANT POINTS YOU NEED TO KNOW WHEN WRITING YOUR BLOG POST:

 

– FIGURE OUT YOUR NICHE:

If you are starting out and you want to build your own website, you need to figure out your niche and know the goal of your website. Think about what problem you want to solve, who is your target audience, and how you want to serve them. Being clear helps you generate more ideas because it helps you focus instead of being random and writing one blog post, then you get lost and don’t know what you want to write about later.

 

– DO BRAINSTORMING:

Come up with ideas in your niche and write them down. You may get inspired by reading other blog posts or watching videos on Youtube in your niche. Do some research about the topics you are interested in to richen your thoughts. But do not copy others’ work.

 

– WRITE AN ORIGINAL BLOG POST:

– The most annoying thing is when you search for something on Google and see that all websites copied and pasted each other. If you want to build a business for yourself by writing online you need to be creative and original. This will make you successful and make you more money. Plus, your writing style could attract more people than the one you’re copying. We always see so many people talking about the same topic but we resonate with only some and this depends on their writing or speaking style. And to be original you need to know what you are talking about and have enough knowledge of the topic because you want to explain your thoughts about it in your own way and express your own opinion. Now, if you think that your knowledge about a topic is not enough, then read about the topic you want to write or talk about, then write about it in your own way, your own style, and by adding your own ideas and knowledge. So, be original and add your own style. your unique personality will show in your writings and it’s good to be different.

 

– START WITH A TITLE:

– It is much easier for you to start with the title of your blog post before starting to write it. Once you find the title for your post, thoughts start to flow in your head about the topic you want to write about. The title makes it so clear to you to figure out the points you want to cover in the post. Let’s say you want to write about investment. You can write so many posts about this topic. for example, look at these two titles ” How To Invest In Stocks”, and ” How To Invest In Real Estate”. Those two titles make two different blog posts. When you start with the title, it becomes so much easier and clearer for you to write your blog post because it helps you know what you want to talk about.

 

– WRITE THE OUTLINE OF YOUR BLOG POST:

After choosing the topic you want to write about. Write down all the ideas and thoughts that come to your head about it because you don’t want to forget the good ideas. What comes once could not come twice. Don’t worry about organizing the ideas or writing so much stuff at first. Write everything in one place. Later, when you organize the ideas, you will delete some of the things you wrote maybe, and add some new thoughts and ideas. If you already have an idea about the subtitles inside the post, what the points you want to cove and how you want the structure to be, then you can do it when creating your outline. The point is you don’t have to be perfect. All you want is to throw everything you know about the topic out of your head onto a paper or your Laptop. You will modify it later. You can cut off later all the parts you don’t want to talk about.

 

– YOUR BLOG POST DOESN’T HAVE TO BE SUPER LONG:

– Do not write unnecessary stuff just to make the blog post longer. You want to be on point or else readers will get bored and leave your site. On the other hand, if your blog post is already long, then to avoid making readers feel bored, you need to organize the ideas in a fun and interesting way. for example, divide the long sections into small ones and add subtitles, use a few colors, and add some images.

 

– SECTION 2: THE BLOG POST STRUCTURE YOU NEED TO FOLLOW TO WRITE A GOOD BLOG POST:

 

1- THE TITLE:

Write a title that grabs people’s attention and helps readers know what they’re going to get out of the blog post. You want the title to be something that people search for. Usually, we use search engines to get answers to our questions or to search for a solution to our problems. 2- THE INTRODUCTION:

The introduction is not to explain the topic, it is to prepare the reader to read the post. You need to hook people and tell them what to expect and what they’re going to get from the post. you want to motivate readers to know more and read the post. If you are solving a problem in your post you want to help people understand the problem in short before learning how to solve it. This is what you can say in your introduction “this is your problem and this is what it is causing you, and by solving it you are getting this”. Or you can mention the benefits of something. For example, if your blog post is about “HOW TO BUID SELF-CONFIDENCE”, you tell the reader in the introduction the benefits of having confidence, then you tell them how to build it in the post, to motivate them to learn more.

 

3- THE MAIN BODY:

– In this section, you explain the topic. You answer the question you asked in the title, or you give the solution to the problem you mentioned in the title.
– Create a clean article body. Keep it organized and use subtitles to make it easy for readers to follow instead of getting lost in long random writing. Subtitles break your content into easy-to-read paragraphs. Especially for long posts to make them seem short in the reader’s eye. Use different fonts and colors for both subtitles and paragraphs, you can highlight some words or ideas to make your post easy for readers to read and follow.

– THINGS YOU MIGHT ADD IN THIS SECTION:

1- A proof to support your ideas and thoughts like science research to make people trust you and trust what you say.
2- Add images and graphics. Visuals help readers imagine and understand more the idea you are explaining.
3- Add links in your post to guide people to related topics to provide them with more information about similar issues. You can link to your other blog posts if they are related to what you are talking about. Or you can also link to other articles on other websites.

 

4- THE CONCLUSION:

It is the shortest section. It is a summary of the article. Keep it simple. People got the information they wanted in the article, so you don’t want to explain any points in the conclusion. For me, I’d like to write the result, or the feeling after learning what was talked about in the article. if you have nothing to say, you can simply ask a question or ask readers for their opinions on the topic to create engagement. But do not end the article without a conclusion to make readers leave your post feeling good.
