The growth of social media has created so many jobs and Specialties within this field. And nowadays, you need to be certified to do certain jobs in social media. You need to be an expert in the field itself.
I know nowadays almost all of us know how to use social media but also a lot don’t know what happens behind the scenes that contribute to the success of the channels or accounts. And because not everybody has the knowledge or the time to do everything themselves when it comes to using social media to grow, that’s why companies or individuals need specialists in social media to get things done for them and help them grow and make more sales of their services or products.

They understand the goal of the companies or individuals they’re working for, and then they create a strategy or a plan to reach that goal. So they are responsible for making decisions needed to execute the strategy to reach the goal. They care about all the details that are happening behind the scenes to help produce content and evaluate its performance on social media platforms. They help with content creation, do research, suggest ideas(brainstorming), write scripts or captions, schedule posts on different platforms, engage with customers or followers, do hashtags, send regular reports to the company or business owner, learn trends, and always should be up to date to the new features on social media, and they must know the different algorithm for each platform to decide which strategy to implement and where. They also coordinate with other team members if they exist to produce the final content.
Sometimes social media managers offer to do everything for the company, sometimes they do certain tasks and hire other specialists to help do other things, Depending on how experienced they are and how much time they can dedicate, or how big the companies or the accounts are.

They also coordinate with and oversee other team members’ work to make sure everything is going the right way. they recommend ideas for clients to help them get better results by identifying what the company is doing wrong and how to improve their performance on social media.
They advise on how to build an audience and how to engage with them and get them to like, share, and click to grow the company’s business. They give answers to companies’ or individuals’ questions and solve their problems. They don’t have to do the work for them but they tell them how to do things themselves, which tools to use, and how. They monitor social media platforms’ performance and fix what needs to be fixed and that’s why they should understand different areas when it comes to creating content, like Research, writing, editing, graphics, paid advertising campaigns, analyzing audience behavior to be able to make improvements to create more engagement with the audience which will lead to increasing the sales of a company. Collecting data is so important to help the company understand the audience and their behavior to be able to create a strategy to promote their product or service and increase sales. They give recommendations about what’s working and what’s not, and which strategy works better, which platform works better for the company to help the company reach its goal. Social media analysts gather information about the performance of the posts on social media platforms about the audience engagement, how many views, likes, shares, and clicks they got So that they can help business owners improve their presence on social media and change or modify their strategy to get better results. And also marketers rely on that information to create a marketing plan to generate more sales. So they help the manager, marketer, videographer, kind of all the team to develop a better strategy that works better and gains more engagement, and make decisions according to the data they gather.

They engage with the online community, listen to their feedback and suggestions to make improvements to the product or service, respond to comments and build trust between the company or individual and the audience. They need to make followers feel connected to the company or the individual. The building of that relationship will make the audience trust and buy the company’s services or products. Because in every business customers are important, that’s why building a healthy and trustful relationship with them will help with the success of the company.
The number of followers doesn’t really matter if there’s no engagement. Because in the end if you want to sell your product or service, you want people to like, click and buy, comment, give recommendations to friends and family about your service or product for the success of your business. if you have a small but very well-engaging audience is better than having a big audience without interacting on your socials. _ Now, I need to mention here that managers can do all the jobs themselves if they are experienced enough and have knowledge in different areas when it comes to content creation and promoting it. and that’s when they maybe work for content creators on youtube for example or Instagram. But big companies need a whole team for their brand because it takes more than one person to do the work, and they need specialists in each field.
